Chelsie Lynne Embler is the owner and sole practitioner of Chelsie L. Embler Attorney at Law, a practice she established on March 1, 2015. Chelsie is a lifelong North Carolina resident. She was born in Greensboro on January 2, 1985. She has lived in Randolph County, Buies Creek, Raleigh, and Charlotte. Chelsie is known to clients as a "pit bull in a skirt." She has dedicated her career to fighting for her clients' rights and ensuring the legal system upholds the principles of justice and equity.
Chelsie’s passion for the law began at age five when she declared her intent to become a lawyer. She pursued this goal with relentless determination, working multiple jobs while completing her education. Chelsie earned a degree from Campbell University in 2007, choosing Criminal Justice to gain a comprehensive understanding of the courts, law enforcement, and corrections. She completed her of course master’s degree program at East Carolina University in 2009 while working full-time as a security supervisor. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Charlotte School of Law in 2012, where she served as Law School Treasurer.
Chelsie’s career philosophy is summarized as "Fairness Meets Justice." Chelsie aims to transition her bench experience into a district court judgeship. Her judicial vision is to preside equitably, administer justice without bias, and remain faithful to North Carolina law.
Chelsie received the North Carolina Pro Bono Hero Award from North Carolina Legal Aid.
Chelsie is deeply rooted in community service. She is the Past President and a former Board Member of Kiwanis and a current Board Member for the Partnership for Children.
Following a personal emergency with her daughter in 2019, Chelsie launched a recurring initiative to raise funds for volunteer fire and police departments to provide bears to children in crisis. Chelsie is a passionate advocate for ending the cycle of domestic violence, the Invictus Project, and the protection of children.
Outside the courtroom, Chelsie is a devoted mother to two daughters, Alivia Grace, age 7, and Averie Layne, age 2, and is in a committed relationship with Chase Montague. She is an active member of Central Wesleyan Church and a lifelong fan of the North Carolina Tarheels. An interesting facet of her background is her 12-year history in martial arts; she previously won a state bid to Nationals, qualifying for the first Tae Kwon Do team in the Olympics. She shares her home with one dog named Daisy Mae and two cats, Luna and Salem.
